A Few Words From Grace

Grace lived with an invisible disability for many years.  May what she shared in her talk spark conversation and help bring positive change for people struggling with disabilities or recovering from trauma.

Grace Mesenbring

ABOUT.

Where I grew up.

I was born and raised in California. I grew up in both the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles.

About me.

I was born and raised in California. I grew up in both the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. At age five-years-old I was scouted for Synchronized Swimming for the Olympics. I trained with Olympians for 4 years until I found my love for Theatre.

I began professionally acting when I was ten-years-old doing a variety of modeling, theatre, musical theatre, short films and commercial work.

I chose to focus on academics in High School knowing I could always go back to professional acting. I emerged myself in school being a part of math club, debate, photography, community service all while still doing theatre.

I won many awards for Photography, have been featured in galleries around Los Angeles, and have been published in magazines. I was thrilled to earn the right to join Actor’s Equity!

What i believed in.

I believed in the power of collaboration, creativity and community. I think that art is a spiritual process.

I believed my role as an artist was to share and tell stories about the dualities of grit and liberation, joy and pain and the overall complexity of humanity.
